We are currently seeking the following positions for the 2019 season:

Box Office Manager

Responsible for ensuring that anyone who interacts with the SummerStage office or venue, via phone or in-person, has a positive experience. This includes assisting patrons with questions and ticket sales, assisting with office tidiness and organization, and assisting Board of Directors and Artistic Director with small, specific projects. The Box Office Manager may substitute as an Event Manager at the venue as necessary.

Terms of Employment

  • $10/hour
  • Part-time and temporary, with potential to be year-round
  • Position will begin immediately

  • Collect mail from Delafield Post Office and street box.
  • Check messages on phone and email. Log and respond accordingly.
  • Review previous night’s performance report and follow up as needed.
  • Prepare cash for deposit and ensure seed money for next event is ready.
  • Greet any visitors in-person and help with their questions and needs.
  • Perform ticket sales.
  • Ensure that materials for events are prepared in advance, including charging devices.
  • Update window and sandwich board signs.
  • Create and send gift certificates and donation requests.
  • Tidy office and note needed supplies.
  • Work on special projects from Board of Directors or Artistic Director.
  • Drop off deposits at local bank branch

Office Hours (through May 29, 2019)

  • Saturdays, 11 am – 1 pm

Office Hours (May 29 – September 30, 2019)

  • Mondays, flexible hours as needed
  • Thursdays and Fridays, 2 pm – 5 pm
  • Saturdays, 11 am – 2 pm

Event Manager

Responsible for ensuring that anyone who attends, volunteers, or performs at SummerStage events has a positive experience. This includes: assisting patrons with questions, ticket sales, interacting with production staff/performers before and after events, training and overseeing event volunteers, and providing backup for volunteer positions. The Event Manager is a highly visible ambassador for SummerStage and should be friendly, welcoming, and positive.

Terms of Employment

  • $10/hour
  • This is a seasonal position and Event Managers must be available for at least one shift per week, unless otherwise discussed
  • The summer season runs June 1 through September 14, 2019. Events are held Thursday, Friday, and Saturdays from 5 – 11 pm.

  • Ability to attend Volunteer Orientation on Saturday, May 18 at 9 am in Lapham Peak


  • Open the SummerStage venue two hours prior to event, which includes picking up supplies/equipment from the office, operating golf cart shuttle, unlocking buildings, and preparing point-of-sale technology, cash boxes, and programs.
  • Answer questions regarding the organization, venue, and events – both in-person and on phone.
  • Communicate with performers and/or production staff as necessary.
  • Oversee volunteer operations at concession stand, admissions booth, shuttle, and parking lot greeter, and train new volunteers as needed.
  • Provide assistance or back-up volunteers.
  • Work with volunteers to clean up and reset at end of event.
  • Prepare and send event reports, including tracking sales, attendance, and supplies.
  • Ensure all patrons have exited the venue, store golf cart shuttle, and deliver supplies/equipment back to the office.
