About the Playwright/Lyricist

Michael Duncan has been a professional theater practitioner for over fifty years. His career has covered virtually every discipline. He recently began writing the book and lyrics for original musicals and his first production “I CAN GO ON SINGING! A new Judy Garland musical,” debuted with a professional cast that toured to three Wisconsin cities in September 2025.

Along with composer/arranger, Terry Dillon and in partnership with SummerStage of Delafield, a new, original musical, DOORS OPEN!, will debut this summer on the beautiful outdoor stage at Lapham Peak State Park. The production is also being produced in collaboration with Fiddlin’ Theatrical and directed by Mr. Duncan. He lives in Oconomowoc and is founder of Fiddlin’ Theatrical LLC.
