Sing and dance your way through our Musical TheatreCamp, brought to you by SummerStage and Sudbrink Performance Academy!

Learn songs, scenes, and dances from a wide variety of musical theatre, spanning decades from the classics to contemporary Broadway. Find your inner star while developing individual performance skills, working together as a team, and stage presence. Kids of all ages and abilities will have a blast at this camp, producing a spectacular final showcase performance for family and friends!

This week long camp will cover many areas of musical theatre, including:

Please note that there will be a maximum of 30 registrants on a first come, first served basis. Musical selections will be divided up among registrants based on age, ability, or randomly grouped.

Times: Monday through Friday, 9 am – 3 pm, with a 30-45 minute performance on Friday starting at 3 pm.

Please note that there will be a $5 daily park usage fee to be paid when students are dropped off, but no fee to pick up.  There is no charge if your vehicle has a state park sticker.

Instructors

Jes Sudbrink

Jes is a Waukesha-based theatre director, actor, and choreographer. She has been seen in commercials and print advertisements, as well as films and stage productions. Before starting a family, Jes worked in and out of the US, including positions in New York City, Atlanta, and Australia. She received her BFA in Theatre Performance from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

Gwen Ter Haar

Gwen is happy to be joining the Summerstage crew this year with the Sudbrink Academy! You can usually find her at the Lumpy Pumpkin in Pewaukee, where she teaches art and music to kiddos under four! She also teaches voice lessons! She has done numerous shows in the Lake Country area including Les Miserables where she played Madame Thenardier for Waukesah Civic, Lucy in The Thing About Men for New Theater in Main, and Mama Bear in Shrek for Lake Country Playhouse! You’ll also find her later this summer musical directing Lion King Jr. For Waukesha Civic!
